Rules and Regulations of the Festival

Clause 1.
The competition is available for all singers who are interested in.

Clause 2.

The competitors are asked to prepare certain music program:
Pre-category: 1. One song by a Renaissance or Baroque composer (Old Masters); 2. Solo song of candidate’s choice.
1st category: 1. One song by a Renaissance or Baroque composer (Old Masters); 2. Two solo songs of candidate’s choice
2nd category: 1. One song by Renaissance or Baroque composer (Old Maters); 2. Two solo songs of candidate’s choice. 3. Aria from opera
3rd category: The 1st round: 1. One song by a Renaissance or Baroque composer (Old Masters); 2. Aria from oratorio; 3. Solo song of candidate’s choice; The 2nd round: 1. Solo song of candidate’s choice; 2. Aria from opera
4th A category: The 1st round: Two opera arias (chosen by the candidate); The 2nd round: Two opera arias (chosen by the candidate)
4th B category: The 1st round: 1. One song by Renaissance or Baroque composer (Old Masters); 2. Aria from oratorio, mass or cantata;  3. Piece by 19th century composer; 4. Piece by Slav composer; The 2nd round: 1. Solo song by 20th century composer; 2. Cycle of songs or at least 3 sons by the same composer
5th A category:  Chamber duets or ensembles- Two compositions with different character (piano has to be played by pupil or student)
5th B category: Chamber duets or ensembles- An opera duet or ensemble (accompanied by accompanist)
6th category: The 1st round: three opera arias (chosen by the candidate); The 2nd round: three opera arias (chosen by the candidate)

Clause 3.

The program in 3tr, 4th, 5th and 6th category has to be perform in original language.

Clause 4.

Rounds have eliminatory character, in the second round will perform maximum 8(eight) competitors per each category who collect the most points in previous round and the end results will be the results from both rounds.

Clause 5.

Program should be performed from memory.

Clause 6.

The candidate will compete in alphabetical order. The initial letter will be drown at random.

Clause 7.

  • Candidate’s performing of program will be judged by three selected jurors for all of the categories.
  • Jury will decide which candidate will continue competition in next round.
  • The names of candidates who will continue to next round will be published on the end of the first round. The names will be published in order in which candidates will perform in second round. Numbers of points will be published after finishing the final round.
  • Jury’s decisions are final and cannot be questioned, cannot be reviewed nor can it be appealed.
  • Jury members aren’t allowed to contact with active competitors on the Festival
  • Jury can decide not to award one or more prizes
  • Jury decisions are public and will be published on our officinal Web page of the Festival

Clause 8.

  • Each candidate whose performance is judged from 90-100 points will win the first prize and he or she will receive diploma.
  • Each candidate whose performance is judged from 80-89 points will win the second prize and he or she will receive diploma.
  • Each candidate whose performance is judged from 70-79 points will win the third prize and he or she will receive diploma.
  • Each candidate whose performance is judged from 60-69 points will win the commendation and he or she will receive diploma.

Clause 9.

  • Each candidate who is ranged from 1st till 3rd place in pre-category, 1st and 2nd category will be rewarded with the book and commodity award, if their performance was judged from 90-100 points.
  • Each candidate who is ranged from 1st till 3rd place in 3rd,4th, and 6th category will be rewarded with the book and money, if their performance was judged from 90-100 points.

Clause 10.

  • Deadline for entry to the competition is 15st of March 2016. Candidates can send application trough our official web site.
  • The fee is 50€ per candidate accept in 6th category in which is 80€
  • If the candidate doesn’t have own accompanist, they will be provided by official accompanist.
  • The fee for 2 rehearsals and performance at the Competition with the official accompanist is 50 €.

***Candidate defray everything by their own (travel and accommodation), and organizer will provide best accommodation.

Clause 11.

The prizes will be presented at the final concert, and after the competition there will be a discussion meeting with the jury members and the candidates.

Clause 12.

All performance rights and the rights of the recording are belonging to the Festival and cannot be any monetary compensation to competitors on the basis of performance, recording and broadcast appearances.
